The Barkley Square Experience

My good buddy from Dog Daycare, Rufus and I had the opportunity to get together, gab and enjoy some delicious cheese treats and dog vino from Barkley Square the other evening while he was Boarding with us. We are all about trying out new place outside of Dogtopia of Alexandria, especially when it comes to treats and wine.

Located right off of Union St, in Wales Alley in the heart of Old Towne, Barkley Square is very easy to get too. The space is intimate, cozy, and smells of fresh doggie treats. Kristina Robertson who in essence is Barkley Square, took great care of us.

After asking what types of wines we liked and then delving deeper, she gave us each a half glass of what she thought we would enjoy. As a lover of reds, I tried the 2006 Pinot Leasheo. Rufus stayed on the white side with a 2006 Sauvignon Bark.

We tried a few doggie treats, but our favorites were the Carob Squirrels and the Sensational Doggie Sushi. The Cosmo Martini’s were out of this world as well.

You can also purchase treat bags of what you taste or what you have yet to taste. They have a huge selection from which to choose and great prices as well. Ask for Kristina and she will certainly accommodate your requests graciously and aid you in finding something you’ll certainly enjoy.
