Seeing Double

It’s pretty common to have a multitude of one dog breed at doggie daycare. Labrador Retrievers and Golden Retrievers are our most common breeds at Dogtopia of Alexandria, but this past week, I was seeing doubles of other breeds.

Maizie and Bella, both Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, were both tan and white, making it very difficult to tell them apart. Personalities often play a big role in telling dogs apart. Bella is much more calm and relaxed, while crazy Maizie is hyper.

On the other hand, I also saw my two friends Finn and Chester, tan and white Pembroke Corgis. They both have the same outgoing demeanor, so we had to make sure we kept different colored collars on them, or we would have gotten confused! They often ran around together causing all sorts of trouble.

Whatever the breed, I’m so glad that all of my friends come to play with me. I hope that soon, I will have three or four dogs of every breed coming to doggie daycare.

Josie, Nikita and I love your blog! Nikita says that some of your friends are her friends, too, but she wants you to write about the puppies. Nikita is very big on puppies!
